This is where you will find some interesting info about yours truly. As most of you know me, my name is Kelly. Or to some, I may be KelBel, Smelly Mcgee, Telly Monster, Red, Tinkerbell, and I think there are more but I cannot remember them all now. I am the youngest of 4 children, and I must say-the only redhead. Originally from a small town in Northeast Pennsylvania I find myself now stuck in the midwest for the time being. I had a pretty normal upbringing with parents that have been married for years, and siblings that have that healthy competition going on. Being the 4th child, I call myself the “oops!” baby. Not that my parents didn’t want me, but I think they thought they were finished having kids. Having 4 years between me and my closest sibling meant that I got a lot of Mommy time alone at the beginning and end of my childhood, which I consider newborn to the age of 21. With that alone time came a bond that is unique from my other siblings. My parents and I have an interesting relationship, and my siblings sometimes cannot understand it. With the age gap of closest brother being 4 years older, oldest brother being 8 years older, and my sister being in between, it is safe to say we don’t always relate to each other. That being said, I love my family and although we don’t always relate, I know they would be there for me in a heart beat and I for them.
I moved to the heart of the US after my college years to live with my sister, and quickly met my future husband. I am an RN, BSN at a local hospital in Tulsa, and absolutely love the people I work with. My bosses are amazing, and if I didn’t have the freedom and love from them that I do, I don’t think I would still be here in Oklahoma. I bought my first house here in the great state of OK, so you will hear lots of stories of redecorating and the joys of owning a home I’m sure. Sometimes, I wish I would have listened to my mother and traveled Europe for a year! The responsibility of owning property is stressful! But don’t tell my Mom I said that, ok?
I’m getting off track, but in general….I started this blog so that it will hopefully be entertaining to read as well as informative for friends and family to keep up with the craziness that is my life. I miss you all like crazy and hope you enjoy!
